It hasn't taken very long to get a good bit of information onto this site, but I've already updated more! There are more samples of music in the 'Music' section, and I've added an 'Upcoming Events' tab that highlights performances, teaching opportunities, and performances (premiers) of my works. I've still got a bunch of work to do all around on the site, but the next big obstacle to tackle is the 'Buy Music' section - more to come on that later!
In other news, I had the wonderful opportunity yesterday to hear the Kennesaw State University Wind Ensemble read through 'Haiku' (winner, 2012-2013 KSU Composition Contest) for the first time. I can say, with firm conviction, that a composer hearing his music live for the first time is quite awe-inspiring. When a piece has existed in your head and on a computer (with less than ideal midi-realizations, mind you) for an extended period of time, you can forget what it sounds like to have real people playing real instruments in a live setting. I can't help but get goose-bumps every time I go through this experience! The ensemble also played through the first movement of the Vladimir Cosma Euphonium Concerto, which I will be performing with them on Tuesday, March 19th at 8:00pm! So many great things happeneing in
